The weather outside is FRIGHTENING

We went to the swim lessons this Wednesday night again. The Mrs seems to like this arrangement better since I'm the only one who can pick up the kids in time to get them there for a 1800 lesson on the work-week. That leaves the disrobing and equipping with SEAL gear to me. She arrives at about 1815 after the kids have been doing their combat maneuvers for a bit. I don't mind mostly because the kids are totally exhausted at the end of the night and give us little guff about going to bed.

On the way home from swimming, we go through this neighborhood that has nearly every other house decked out with decorations and lights. The kids are completely delighted by this. They enjoy pointing out every house and indicating which side it appears on so as to lay claim to it as being 'My side Christmas House!'. Of course, they ask why I have not put the lights up yet. I think I'll stop off at the hardware store and buy a load of the new LED lights and put them up. Just white ones of course. I have a bunch of older ones but they are of such varying lengths it is difficult to get them arranged in a manner that allows me to plug them in at convenient places.

Eventually, we emerge from the circa 1950's development at the plaza where we had the Sushi last week. There is an Italian restaurant (with real Italians!) there called Angelo's we are going to patronize. Our other choices were Crapplebees or Robin Hood Crap-o-rama. One thing I habitually forget is that in THIS suburb of Philly, in contrast to the Main Line, affluence is measured by the girth of your midsection rather than the girth of your wallet. Given that I failed to take this into consideration, I ordered my standard 3 appetizers and a large plate of crab linguini. The Mrs went with her standard chicken, mushroom and pasta dish with a Ginger Ale (no Ice). The kids like the deep fried mozzarella SLABS and Jake found the calamari to his liking. The Mrs helped me with the garlic bread (smothered in mozzarella cheese) so we managed to eat most of the meals. Alexis ate one of the meatballs that came with her 'Noodles and Meat Balls'. These were Italian meatballs, not the Swedish ones so they were about the size of her head. Both of 'em. Jake dove into his Pan Pizza and ate half of one slice. He was quite full of water from the pool and calamari so he did not eat much between the 101 bathroom visits. Expensive tastes for such a little tyke. Hope they do not insist on having Russian Caviar with their Dom Perion.
