Trust me, I'm your Professor!
This is just too absurd to be true. A teacher has been using the SS# of his students to open credit cards. The students GAVE him the numbers. Their excuse is that he is a trusted professional, why would he do anything illegal! This is why most large schools have abandoned using the SS# to identify students. It is a hard lesson to learn for the community college students in question. Fortunately, this will probably not be a catastrophic disaster that most people have to contend with once their identity has been lifted. This teacher ... this trusted authority figure, however, has just ruined his own life along with his girlfriends. What a Marooon.
