Blogger News Network - Fla: Stand your ground
If you are not a fan of Jeb Bush, then you may not like this. Personally, I don't see a problem with either the "Stand Your Ground" legislation nor the "Castle Doctrine". I don't think this is a big problem in Pennsyltucky right now, but it irks me that some animal can break into my house and then sue me if they get hurt either by tripping and falling or by me pounding them into mush.
- Florida courts had previously ruled that a person need not try to escape when confronted with deadly force at work or at home. The "Stand Your Ground" bill goes even further.
... allowing "a person who is not engaged in unlawful activity and who is attacked in any other place where he or she has a right to be" to use deadly force without first trying to flee.
