Not good, Not good at all

I certainly hope this is the work of a lone wacko, but the reasoning that a burglar did this is not entirely comforting. Burglars usually don't murder their victims. Who murders an 8 year old girl by slitting her throat and then fails to take any of the jewelry in the house.
